Background: Amethyst Bay is a luxury resort in a beautiful beach town. The resort offers premium accommodations and services, and its target audience is wealthy travelers looking for a luxurious vacation experience. The resort wanted a web banner to promote its summer package deal.
Goals:
Create a visually stunning web banner that grabs the target audience's attention and encourages them to visit the resort's website.
Use headlines to highlight the summer package deal and its benefits, such as discounts on room rates, free activities, and spa treatments.
Incorporate the resort's brand identity and visual style, including its signature colors, typography, and imagery.
Design Process:
Research and analysis: We began by researching the resort's brand identity, target audience, and summer package deal. We also analyzed competitor web banners to identify industry best practices and design trends.
Concept development:
We developed several concepts for the web banner based on the research. First, we focused on using headlines to highlight the summer package deal's benefits and incorporated the resort's signature colors and typography.

Visual design: Using the approved wireframe, we created the graphic design for the web banner. We used the primary color (Pantone 268 Coated) for the headlines and the secondary color (Pantone 332 Coated) for the call-to-action button. We used a high-quality image of the resort's beachfront as the background and overlaid the headlines and call-to-action button. We used Arial Bold for the headlines, Arial Bold Italic for the subheads, and Arial for the body copy.
Testing and optimization: We tested the web banner design by running A/B tests with different banner variations. We also optimized the banner for mobile devices to ensure a seamless user experience.
Launch and analysis: We monitored its performance using analytics tools once the web banner was finalized and launched on the resort's website. We analyzed the click-through, conversion, and engagement rates to evaluate the design's success.
